Story
Description
When the boys each send $1 to Afghan children, Stan inexplicably gets a goat in return. Unable to keep it, he gets Kyle, Kenny and Cartman to help him smuggle it onto a military transport heading back to Afghanistan -- which takes off while they're still aboard. Soon they're in Afghanistan, where they personally take the goat to its owners -- four boys who look exactly like them, and happen to despise Americans. They sent the goat out of honor, because they couldn't take a dollar without giving something in return.
The boys are then captured and taken to Osama bin Laden, who makes a videotape of the four and their goat. The tape reaches the West, where the goat is mistaken for Stevie Nicks. Thinking she's been captured by the Taliban, American forces immediately attack bin Laden's headquarters. As the battle rages, the Afghan boys sneak in and rescue Stan, Kyle and Kenny. Cartman stays behind to "take care of" bin Laden.
Kenny is killed during the escape -- as is the Afghan boy who looks just like him. Meanwhile, in a takeoff on the various "battles of wits" between Bugs Bunny and Elmer Fudd, Cartman tortures and humiliates bin Laden, who is then finished off with a bullet to the head by an American soldier.
The show ends with the goat, backed by Fleetwood Mac, doing a USO concert. The two sets of boys decide that, one day, perhaps the American kids can grow to hate Afghanistan as much as the Afghans hate America.
What I Learned Today
"America may have some problems, but it's our home. Our team. And if you don't wanna root for your team, then you should get the hell out of the stadium."

Characters
Character Debuts
Osama bin Laden, and the Afghani versions of Kenny, Stan, Cartman, and Kyle.
Body Count
Kenny, Kenny's Afghan counterpart, numerous Taliban fighters and of course, Osama bin Laden. There's also the American Soldier who, upon smelling Cartman's fart, vomits and falls dead on the spot.
Locations
Behind The Scenes
Where Did The Idea Come From
The episode reflected a general consensus that South Park had to talk about 9/11, which happened only a few weeks before this show aired.
Pop Culture References
Shout Outs
Cartman refers to Afghans at Jawas, the tiny, robed aliens from Star Wars. He also, incorrectly, calls them Sand People, a title reserved for the Tuskan Raiders.
After getting into an Afghani "taxi" (which is just an engineless car pulled by a mule), Cartman says, "God what is this, the freakin' Flinstones?"
The series of scenes in which Cartman taunts Osama bin Laden is a parody of the antics of Bugs Bunny outwitting Elmer Fudd, from the iconic Looney Tunes cartoons. The signs that Cartman holds up, the music cues, the big smooch he gives him, the dynamite finish -- all parody popular elements of the show.
While arguing over which country is better, the Afghan kid yells, "It's better than a civilization that spends its time watching millionaires walk down the red carpet at the Emmys." Stan's dumbfounded, "He's got us there, dude."
Pwn'd
Stevie Nicks, who apparently is indistinguishable from an Afghan goat. Upon seeing the goat, soldiers swoon over her, saying "she looks great". The goat, backed up by Fleetwood Mac, perform an awful rendition of their hit "Edge of Seventeen".
While bin Laden is trying to woo a camel, Cartman holds up a series of insulting picture signs: a picture of shit and a head; a picture of a jack and an ass; and a picture of Barbara Streisand.
Bonus Factoids
Pointless Observations
In the middle of the episode Towelie suddenly drops in unannounced. His sole role is to introduce a gag about how the kids don't want him around, and that there's been a "Towelie ban."
At the time this aired, there was a huge anthrax and small pox scare going on. The boys all wear gas masks at the bus stop in an effort to combat this.
All Kenny has in his backpack is pornos: Hotties, Juicy, Whoppers.
We can see Stan's address clearly on the letter he send to the Afghani kids. Stan Marsh, 2001 Bonanza Street, South Park CO 80439. In "Jackovasaurus", we saw Cartman's address: 21208 E. Bonanza Circle, South Park, CO.
Agent Johnson tests for diseases by French kissing the goat.
He dressed up as a Vietnamese prostitute in "Cow Days" and an undercover-cop prostitute in "Chickenlover", but here, Cartman tries to woo Osama bin Laden by dressing up as a Muslim woman. Osama goes for the camel instead.
